I Need A Makeover

My birthday is in a couple of weeks. Two weeks to be exact! :) I still haven’t finalized my plans. Halloween is going to play a role. I am also thinking that I need to have a function that involves friends, eatin’ and drinkin’. I was invited to a “dance”, but I am not sure if I want to roll with that crew.

But anyway, I am getting close to a milestone age. I don’t think that I look bad for my age. I think that I am youthful. But it has become abundantly clear that I need a makeover. I’m talking new hair, makeup and accessories. I haven’t bought a new pair of earrings in ages!

My hair guy wants to "do something different". He said something about “fly”. I am not really a “fly hairstyle” girl. To me “fly” is that faux-hawk that the girls are wearing. Here are my suggestions for what I think is fly. But honestly…It ain’t much different from what I have.



I love my hair guy like a fat kid loves cake. I respect his style. He is hella fly and a male version of Oprah. I had a function and he attended and all of the girls were crushing on him. I have a crush on him, but really…He ain’t checkin’ for me.

He suggested that I stop wearing lip-gloss, go deeper with the eye shadow (smokey eye?) and do a matte vibrant lip.

*wide-eyed stare*

Um. I am not sure if you noticed this, but I am rather full-lipped. My biggest fear is a bright lip. My mother is rather conservative. Therefore I was raised that red lips are a sin. LOL

Also, I steer clear of matte. In my world, matte = dry”. Ain’t nothing worse than plump, dry lips. ‘sides I like a shiny look. It started at an early age with Bonne Bell Lip Smackers. :)

Not only am I full lipped…I have really small eyes. A smoky eye would make them disappear.

But I am going to give his EYEdeas (get it?) a try. Maybe this could be the change that I need. So, I am going to subject myself to the girls at the MAC counter. I’ll take pictures!
